I loved the idea of being able to play the guitar; not the tradeoffs I'd have to make to get to the point where I could play it as well as them.
"you can do anything once you stop trying to do everything." Also, embracing the smorgasbord of pain and struggle can be part of what makes an endeavour appealing 🙃 (I speak with sport, specifically cycling, in mind)
